how to save 25000 on a gs (buy a CPO 528i)

For OP, it looks more like new money on credit, based on the 1.9% lease rate he is bragging about. Imagine the ribbing he'll get on the BMW forums for his 4 cylinder turbo. Kind of like the ribbing we IS250 owners get from the IS350 owners.

You mean the IS250 is real ? I thought it was just a typo or manufacture error when they installed the emblem on it.

hi all i am a big lexus lover, i think the gs is a phenomenal automobile. I recently was looking at used cpo's gs 350 and heres my issues
1) a 14 with 8 speed automatic still is around 37-40 k over my budget
2) didnt want a 13 with 6 speed
3) overall gas mileage is around from what i heard 22mpg which is not up to standards this day in age.
so my search started and
bought a 2013 bmw 528 cpo with 19,000 miles with nav, premium package for 32k
i am covered till 50 k under warranty all maintanence
i am covered till 100 with cpo
i realize its not as reliable as lexus or handle in the curves as well, but i enjoy luxury more than sport
the 5 powertrain is unreal has power when you need it, no lag off the line and after 230 miles 65% highway 35% city, getting 30mpg combined very impressed on the highway this thing at 70 with cruise gets 37 mpg
car handles great ride is great
got 1.9 percent financing.
just thought i would share i don't think the car can be beat if you can find a clean one with low mileage for 30k,
safe driving to all

Additionally, it seems unfair to ding the GS for 22 mpg "overall" and then brag about the 528 2.0T's 37 mpg for highway cruising only. What are you getting on a daily basis? My 328i xDrive gets 22mpg in mostly suburban driving.

He covered that with the two words immediately preceding the bit you bolded about highway mileage.

However, it appears, in his limited 1-tank test, he is doing much better than average:

I agree! Not all 25 year olds write like that. I could barley understand what the OP was trying to say.

You didn't save $25,000 on a GS...you did not buy a GS LOL.
You wound up paying less for less car...thats not a "deal". You could have had a 2013 GS for the same money by your admission...
I saved $50,000 on my GS...I bought a 2002 Explorer for $10k. See how that doesn't make any sense?
