doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside. it doesn't need to be shaped like a prius to get a good coefficient of drag. The current E class sedan, which is kinda boxy, has a stated Cd of .25. I think that figure is for the blue efficiency models in Europe with the diesel hybrid engines though

Actually, it does. The "teardrop shape" is the aim to prevent airflow detachment and turbulence in the airflow at the rear of the car, which is why all the low-drag cars have that shape, from the XL1 to the Tesla to the Prius.

We are on the same page. We are both stating that the Prius is not the most aerodynamic, and yet its designers and Toyota has repeatedly stated that the Prius is shaped like a Prius because of aerodynamics. Hence, all other hardcore MPG vehicles followed in pursuit of that iconic shape.
The reason I brought it all up is because someone brought up the coupe must have good aerodynamics because of its shape. While this may be true, I was simply saying shapes of cars dont paint the full picture in how aerodynamic something is. If you simply looked at the E class vs a prius, you would think the Prius is more aero because of its curved roof.

Another droopy butt design. The sloping back end is soft and too feminine. This is going to turn off most male buyers, but I don't think MBZ really cares at this point. The RC, A5, and 4-series all have nicer butts.

I seriously doubt the male/female split changes very much.

I like this C coupe way better than 4 series... got the best clues from S and C class, cant fault that... interior is nice too.
