What is the deal with the new LX?

The Jeep Grand Cherokee used to have a bad reliability reputation, and some of it remains with the latest versions, though as a whole the new ones are less risky. If that were the type of vehicle I needed or was looking for, I wouldn't hesitate to get one today, as, apart from the (possible) reliability issue, I find it a thoroughly enjoyable vehicle to sit in and/or drive. And, even if it does have some issues, service and repairs are likely to be a lot less expensive than for the Look-At-me-Uppity Range Rover.
SW15LS, I believe, had two recent JGCs, and (correct me if I'm wrong, SW15LS),........the 2011 had some reliability issues and the 2014 didn't.
Hard to gauge, though, what the SRT-8's reliability will be, as it uses different components in the drivetrain and chassis from the more mundane versions, and is likely to be lead-footed more. Not many are sold....so there isn't a very large data base for owner-experience. Some high-performance SUVs are banned from towing by their manufacturers, which eliminates one possible source of stress (which is silly in my book, as that's one thing people buy SUVs for)...but JGC SRT-8s can tow up to 7200 lbs. with the proper package.
Considering the difference in price, I think you would be surprised with the JGC's interior vs. the LX. The LX, of course, is larger and roomier inside from a sheer space point of view.

What brought me to attention was the engine, 5L super charged 510hp and 0-60 in under 5 seconds. That is some serious power on a 4x4.
What about interior compared to the LX?

Definitely not looking at a Jeep. This is news to me that the Range Rover is that luxurious, I am plesently surprised. What about space in the cabin, which is bigger, the LX or the Range Rover?

The Range Rover LWB is bigger inside than the LX, despite only having 2 rows vs. 3. The regular wheel base RR is around the same size inside as the LX.

yep, LC is basically special order vehicle, dealers usually dont stock them.
Predicted sales for Japan were around 50 units per month.
Of course, in Arabian countries, it sells around 2k per month total so worldwide it outsells LS.

The rep brought me the catalog for the new LX and it is completely different to what is on the net. The headlights and tail lights are different , the front lights are all LED, the Navi is 12" and the interior is just different. I don't mind this at all.
Here are some pics.

Nothing different to what is on the net, photos/videos of the new LX have already been posted on this forum and around the web and pics have been leaking for months now ( unveiled in the US August 13 and on the 20th in Japan )
The 'different one' is just the older LX which you probably saw on the Lexus US website because they still didn't update to the new one.
