You know all mb has to do is allow us to turn off auto start/stop by default and all these problems goes away.

But you paid dearly for that tech. It isn't cheap.

MB, already allows you to do that. Press one button and it is off.

MB was ignoring his refund, and he smashed. This video is spreading to everywhere and Benz now agreed to give him refund. It seems so late.

Insurance is not gonna pay a cent, this is intentional damage.

Toyota and Lexus are labeled as quality brand, if there is any quality issue happened, it will definitely hurt the sales.
Mercedes is viewed as high-end and prestige, and it never win customer by its quality, so poor quality doesn't hurt it as bad as Toyota.

Insurance wont pay for intentional damage caused by the policy holder. This is not debatable.
He can lie and risk getting caught, then its insurance fraud.
Anyone that willfully destroys his own $150k Merc probably doesn't need insurance anyway. lol

I know but I wish I can just turn it off and not have to bother with it again until I actually want to use it.

you have to do it every time you get into the car? i thought it's a setting you can turn off for good (until you turn back on)

Same to BMW, it can not be turn off by default, you have to turn it off every time you get in the car. I got tired of it and tend to ignore it after 2 and half years. Btw, I think it can be turn off by aftermarket coding, and if you close to the SA you can prob have them turn it off too, I tried with my dealership and they wouldn't do it.

Yes, you have to turn it off every time you start the car.
