The current lines up are notbuilt like swiss watch. I dont know where did you get that idea from. I did put down a deposit and signed the paper work to get the new MDX. The day I went to pick it up. I test drove it before hang them the money. The wind noise is terrible on all doors, the back suspensions were making hump noise . The back door had a huge gap between the door and the body. This is 2015 models. This one were special order. I had to talked with the district manager about the issues so I can get my deposit back. The day I came there were five representative and they came out to check out the car. There were huge gap when doors when closed. It is not even line up.Now I checked on most of them the bear arms control all rusted even after 200 miles.Fake woods all over, cheap chrome trim around. The 2016 model got the 9 speeds with hard shift 2-3 gears. If you check on you tube the 2014 even have problems with front hood, bumper not even line up evenly. Over all the quality control is so bad.I have the lists go on. All I want is a well built lexus but Lexus did not bring out the 7 seats crossover yet.

I would say that Honda/Acura is put together pretty competitive with the top brands. On par with Toyota and Ford and a little ahead of GM and Hyundai.

It's possible you got one that was shoddily-built...I won't argue that. (and I can't comment further without seeing the vehicle myself). But virtually every Honda product I've looked at over the years has been superbly built, at least brand-new....especially the last-generation RL, which, unfortunately, didn't sell.

Of course, like with any manufacturer, there are occasional exceptions. The Honda Del-Sol, a small two-seat semi-convertible, had some body-structural problems because, at the time, Honda had little experience with that type of vehicle. And Honda marketed some Isuzu-designed SUVs in the 1990s that were assembled in Isuzu plants, not Honda, so their quality was not up to par of the average Honda.
