Just updating everyone...picked the Sedona up last night.

There are a couple things they need to do, the little trim cover for the front tow hook wasn't in, and it is going to need a drivers side headlight. There is heat damage to the inside of the lamp we didn't notice before. They also need to get the trim around the foglights snapped in better, and the area above the grille needs to be wet sanded a little better, its got too much peel. They ordered the lamp and when those parts are all in I'm going to take it back.

Paint match turned out good. Total cost with the additional headlight $5,200.

Woot pretty quick that they have it done already!

Btw does your Sedona come with HID headlights? Mine doesn't and I'm thinking change it to either HID or LED, including the fogs. Leaning towards LED but seems the lights are too new and have a fan behind the light bulbs to cool it down seems little stupid and likely to fail.

Yeah they got it done pretty quick!

Yeah mine has HID lights, comes with the SX-L. They're pretty strong, better than the HIDs in the LS.

They probably considered you one of their VIP customers.....plus the fact that it was a relatively expensive vehicle (by Kia standards), and even more of a shame that it was damaged like that, being so new...just a few months old. But, this is also more conformation that Kia is really trying to please its customers. My brother has been amazed by the excellent treatment he gets from the local Kia shop...both in sales and service. Despite the MPG controversy a while back, the company's reputation seems to be steadily growing in the auto industry.

I think them knowing we had 8.5 month old twins and we needed our van back helped. They actually had these little guys waiting for us as a gift to the twins too, very nice:

I've had these guys do work for me before, nice people and they do a good job. Anybody in the area has a need its Oldest to Newest (Formally Rockville Auto Body) in Rockville, MD

I also can't say enough good things about Allstate. This was certainly the biggest insurance claim I've ever had, I've had some minor stuff, bumpers and such, windshields and they've been good, but they assigned me a case rep, and she called multiple times to check in with me, the adjuster who went out there called me from his personal cell and gave me that number, everybody has been professional, incredibly friendly and nice. They called enterprise and set up the rental, had them transfer a minivan from another location so we could have that. Very good.

Oops. Sorry.....from my post, I thought it was a Kia dealer body-shop. Still, glad you were treated so well.

How would you rate it compared to the Sedona SXL?...........though I suspect that the "LOL" statement gives a strong hint.

It was pretty awful LOL

All kidding aside it was fine, if you needed a minivan and you were on a budget, it does the job. Poorly built, drive and handles clumsily, but it carries people around.

Wow, glad to hear your ordeal turned out fine and your family weren't in the van.
