Sam's Club Headlight Polishing

That's the thing though. If anytime in 5 years it deteriorates, I bring it back and they redo the service under warranty. I could do all the steps at home minus the uv application, since I don't have the uv lamp or spray gun.
As for pricing, I imagine its a member only price.

in my experience, rattle can clear flakes off under cali sun.
also adversely affects clarity a little.
I have so far failed to prevent yellowing of headlights. On my 3GS, I waxed regularly, and it still yellowed eventually, parked outside all the time.
someone did a test of optilens and it did pretty well under hawaii sun all day long.

I would like to know a little more about this new Sam's club headlight stuff. Only way I got my headlights clear is by wetsanding and polishing and even with Opti Lens they don't stay clear for that long and start getting hazy.
Spray Acrylic clears just won't hold up in the sun plus chemicals like gasoline will damage them. A 2K clear is the only spray clear that would last longer and be chemical resistant but I don't know how it would bond to poly carbonate headlights.

How about put a coat of this 3m clear bra stuff?

The clear bra on my e92 seems to have held up pretty good after 5 years.

I wonder if they'll do 1 headlight for half price? I had a cracked xenon lamp on the E60 BMW I'm detailing to sale and at 12 years and 45k, the original lamp is starting to show its age.

We actually took my mother's E430 in yesterday to sam's to have the job done. Her car was involved in a front end collision a while ago, and they only replaced one of the headlights, so one was clear, and the other was yellowed to all hell. (Once again, forgot to take pictures). However after the service, both headlights are even clarity, so it helps mask the obviousness of the accident. If only we can figure out why the hood is too narrow.

Jewcano,
How have the headlights held up, now that it's been a couple years? I am considering getting this done myself, but that 5-year warranty seems almost too good to be true. Have you had to have them redo your lights?
