i really think next year they will switch the lc500 out to the ttv6. so i really think the first batch of LC will be so worth it. but lexus will also have a case to make, the lc500 now has 467hp, but when they replace it the new setup will "only" have 400 or so hp. not saying the car will be slower but a lot of buyers will look at the numbers and ask why
of course, the lc500 is already more expensive than the gsf. still think it's a bit surprising,

Personally I think it would be a mistake for Lexus to pull the 5.0 V8 NA until they are ready with the 4.0 V8 tt in a guise that isn't performance orientated, like in the same HP range as the NA: 475 HP.
Replacing it with a 6 mill at that many less HP, regardless if it "performs" the same, will just look funny and I agree, people will ask why.
And frankly, if they do make a non-sport V8 tt, there's really no need for that V6 to even migrate here. By all accounts, this is a low volume vehicle, even more so than the LS.
Having the V8 tt at 475 HP and the F at 600 HP would be enough for this vehicle. But I do think the LS can and should support more engine choices.
But again there's nothing wrong with offering the same engine lineup across these companion flagships.

haha knowing it would come doesn't mean it's not exciting. i agree it's sooner than i thought BUT to be very frank and honest, i think lexus is really late to the game. there is really no excuse

Lexus denies the LC-F. Gets all our hopes up for nothing.

Car & Driver, though, says it IS coming. Of course, time will tell who is correct. But, given the choice between a well-respected auto magazine and spokespersons in an industry known for deception and cover-ups, I know who I will usually believe.

Currently, the 471-hp Lexus LC500 is the brand’s high-performance flagship. But we’ve learned that Lexus is planning more. Set to make its debut at the Tokyo auto show in October is an ultra-high-performance LC F that will feature a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 punching out a potent 600 horsepower.
According to our source at Lexus, this high-performance powerplant is in essence two 8AR-type 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines joined together at 90 degrees. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 also will find its way into the GS F—making 550 horsepower—but for the LC F it will be turned up to 600 horsepower, with 470 lb-ft of torque. As with the LC500, the F will use the company’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
The LC F’s bespoke body kit will feature hood vents, air ducts for brake cooling, a fixed rear wing, and an aggressive front splitter as well as side and rear air vents. A set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber will keep the LC F stuck to the road, while six-piston brake calipers will squeeze the rotors to scrub off speed. We’ll learn more about the hardware on this ultimate Lexus this fall.

Obviously C&D has one or more confirmed inside sources who have seen things first hand.

I read this:
to mean that the LC F is not coming to Tokyo, not that there will be no LC F or that the engine specifics are not true.
"We’ve been reading stories about an LC F supposedly debuting in Tokyo as well, and I can tell you that it is not true," the Lexus spokesperson said over email.

Read it again and I agree: Not to be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show but that does not mean that it won't be introduced in New York or LA or Detroit.
