Honda better really have a complete knock-out with the NSX that will disappoint anyway This car seems to be getting rave reviews EVERYWHERE with of course the front end the most controversial piece.

Absolutely stunning !!! While Honda/Acura offer a lot of talk, Lexus once again shocks and amazes with action. This concept comes out of nowhere, just like the original LF-A concept came out of nowhere, and how the IS-F came out of nowhere. This is going to completely overshadow the NSX concept at Detroit. Honda executives are probably worried right now. This is exactly the strong momentum Lexus needs at the start of 2012, as a large product onslaught is about to begin with the 4GS.
Haters are speechless, as well as all the resident cynics on CL .
From everything I know and I've heard, this is just a small taste of the future Lexus product onslaught about to come. Just wait until the next-gen ES, IS, and LS all make their debuts .
And yes, the interior looks very production-ready. I don't think that is just a coincidence. I would bet we're looking at the next SC in concept form here.
Also interesting is the powertrain; a hybrid with an 8000 RPM redline. I think this is a preview of the next-gen Lexus hybrid system, the first super high performance/exotic Lexus hybrid system. The 8K RPM matches earlier rumors of Lexus working on an 8K RPM V8 engine. I'm pretty sure one of the next-gen Lexus engines will be an 8K RPM engine, likely a V8 engine for F models.
For those that are complaining about dated powertrains in Toyota and Lexus models, expect to see next-gen powertrains debuting in the next few years. This is keeping in mind that the dated Toyota/Lexus powertrains are still very competitive in most areas.

If it's detuned as indicated by the 1000rpm drop in redline then it might just be affordable enough to be a sub-$150k car.

Very nice! But there definitely will have to be a horizontal bar (preferrably blacked out) in the bumper to accommodate the front license plate. Also the headlight housing will definitely be covered in glass in the production car. Maybe someone can do a chop with these mods thanks.
