Still haven't warmed up to the rear though. Good to have confirmation of the 500hp hybrid powertrain, which is what the new LS600hL should've come with.

it is probably their next generation powertrain? in any case, gas engine should have 400+hp... I would expect hybrid to add 65hp-80hp max (probably 65-70), because there is no way to recover more energy than that anyway... they could have battery that outputs 100hp, but you would have to "wait" for it to recharge during driving... which would be annoying.

since it is future development, who knows what it is, it could be brand new engine by 2015...

Such a beautiful and stunning concept, the LF-LC is such an amazing car. The sharp lines in the head/taillights and grille against the curves or the body work so well together. Plus, thats one of the best blues I've seen to date. Can't wait to see this car come to fruition.

How much are you willing to bet that this will also be the drivetrain of the upcoming GS-F?
When people were talking about the purported 400+ hp of the gasoline engine and complaining that it wasn't competitive with the Germans, my first thought was : "That's just the gasoline engine. The GS-F may have a hybrid motor to make up the hp/torque shortfall."
News of this 500hp hybrid only makes me even more certain that this Lexus hybrid drivetrain will not only be in the Lf-LC coupe, it will also find its way into the GSF.

So I think they will concentrate on things that make IS-F good and make it better, for now.

They should make this a hybrid-exclusive color.
Lexus wants to push performance hybrids - what better way than to reserve the best exterior colors/interior trims/performance tech goodies for their hybrid line-up.
ie only the LS,GS,IS,ES,RX hybrids get this color.
