Let's talk about the new design stuff we see.

The interior door levers are kind of interesting. They do not rest in a cup like more cars do. They just kind of emerge out of the leather door panel.

best picture by far for me... interior looks stunning, exquisite, rich, opulent.

1800kg is roughly 3960lbs, same as RC-F... and it only makes sense since 0-60 is same as RC-F at 4.4s. They share engine after all and both are RWD. 8 speed was quick already and this thing has 20" tires base vs 19" on RC-F.

As Andrew wrote, carbon fibre in construction are latest additions to the prototype vehicle, that wasnt tested by journalists yet.

He also spilled few other beans - they added rear wheel steering, there will be AVS with new tech.

Lexus also said sub 100k ("just barely") price for base model and extras like carbon fibre roof (instead of glass), rear wheel steer, mark levinson... i suspect loaded LC500 will be $110k or so?

It is so nice... sad to see cc stalk gone tho! As brits would say, all bespoke Lexus now. Love LFA inspiration in interior too.
Having its base price about $10K more than a 650i is already a bad starting point

So, is this a 6 series fighter ? I know the engine is somewhat weak compared to the M6, but what about the size?
The 6 is a huge coupe, which I think is a big plus. How big is the LC ?

We all know that the size was the main reason the old SC was not selling too well. I hope that this one is much more roomier.

LC is 187in long according to the press release, 6-series about 192in.

turbos are fun but then there's the lag and the increased complexity and the altered sound. i say supercharge it if anything. no loss of response, instantaneous torque at any rpm, and you get the supercharger whine. you haven't even driven it so i say save your criticisms for after that's happened. that being said i'm about to contradict myself and say that 10 gears is too many.

I guess, the new LS and CrossOver will also be based on this "premium rear-wheel-drive luxury platform and is part of the new corporate global architecture for luxury vehicles (GA-L)."

great looking car (because it looks a lot like the LFA) and i'm sure it'll be great to drive (i hope) but i still can't stand the current lexus radiator grill. the gauges and control layout are honestly a bit too LFA, i'm starting to think that toyota isn't the best at coming up with new designs. the car isn't an LFA, it's never going to be, why not distinguish it as such rather than give people the feeling that they're in one, which they're not.

i also hope there'll be a 6 speed manual option even though i'm sure there probably won't be. also 10 gears!? no car needs more than 7. i haven't driven it obviously so i can't comment on how the 10 speed works but come on give the LC buyers more time to enjoy each gear. everyones so concerned about 0-60 and 1/4 mile times but seriously how often are you actually doing either of those?

all that aside, car looks damn cool and i can't wait to see reviews of it and the F version when it comes out.
