So how many of you traded a Lexus for a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Jaguar and etc?

I did both!
A few years ago I traded in my '08 RX400h for a '13 Mercedes GLK250. I was lured into it by the amazing engine. The platform itself I wasn't crazy about but that tiny 2.1L engine w/365lbs/ft of torque was awesome. The dealer experience was great, the car was reliable; however, I needed to get a bigger car after a couple years.
So I traded in the GLK for a '16 GX460. So I went the other direction in fuel economy. The cheap gas does help offset the sting at the pump - while it lasts.

I liked the previous GX design - perhaps a bit too stubby - but I thought it was unique and good looking. The current iteration w/the spindle I think adds a bit more design and, good/bad a bit more bling. The LED lighting package is excellent...

I had a IS250, I didn't like it too much, I thought it was a bad car.
I bought a CLK500
and then a 09 CLS63 AMG
and now I have 15 AMG C63 S
Whats puts me off is lexus's lackluster power trains, you cant put in that 5.0l v8 in everything and call it a new motor each time ...

Don't forget about poor old Cadillac! I sold my 4GS and custom ordered a 2016 CTS-V, zero regrets (other than the 6+ month wait time). Honestly an amazing beast, yet smooth and tame when needed, comfortable, luxurious, sporty, CUE is solid (much better than Enform from 2013), just an all around, top notch multi-purpose vehicle.
I still love the my GS-it was customized and has looks to kill, smooth ride, reliable, sporty, sufficient power. I was able to sell it to a friend, so I still see it!

Not really. If you take away his style of speaking on camera, there's pretty much some well known conventional wisdom about used MB cars. He's just saying it in a different way. He in fact, recommends Toyota for people who don't have money to blow, and the Benz for as he puts it, "Fat Cats".
It actually sounds like his customers are running from the Benz dealer and coming to him for the "cheap" fix.
Right now there's a S500, probably about five blocks from me in front of a nice house - likely a 2000's model. It's sitting on its air suspension like a low rider, all cambered out and looking ridiculous. This just happened. the car sat endlessly before this, then it went away on a trip and now it's back just sitting there, barely worth more than the repair bill.

I traded the worst 3rd Gen GS350 ever built for a Jaguar XF a little over 3 years ago. I was so pissed off at Lexus at the time that It took me years to come back to work for a Lexus dealership (Which I am very glad I did).
The Jag has been absolutely dead reliable FWIW and I routinely drive 4th gen GSs which are light years ahead of the POS 3rd gen.
