I thought I would pay a warm tribute to the 2015 IS300h with a short video review update of the car.

I tested it with some lexus owners first before doing my post here.

Hope you like.

It's only available in Europe and some parts of Asia. I don't get why Lexus don't bring the IS300h and GS300h to North America, especially when they sell the NX300h there. You'd get proper RWD handling with 40+ mpg urban fuel consumption. As it is, the ES300h is the only Lexus hybrid sedan being sold in large numbers.

^^ I believe the RXh also sells in very large numbers, and probably proportionately more than the ES if you factor in price.

Anyways, I thought the review was clever and well done. Great job!

Wow thanks a lot - Nice compliment from the Mod there!!! Boom.

Yes US - people dont care so much about fuel as its so cheap, guess its pointless, besides they are all into full electric now there.

Enjoyed the video. Sad we don't have the option in the U.S. There are people out here who want a sporty car that gets good gas mileage. I'd consider the ESh, but the lack of sport keeps me away by one step.
CVT's.... they are a strange breed. I assume these ISh's have a manual "gear" shift option on the floor console. With that, one can better control the strangeness of endless engine revving.

Enjoyable video. So many people fancy themselves as reviewers these days, this was an interesting take on things.

It's sometimes more than just a matter of fancying things. Non-automotive journalists, IMO, often do a better job of reviewing than the auto press themselves. I used to chuckle when I listened to the way that Jeremy Clarkson, Warren Brown (auto writer for the Washington Post), or even the late Brock Yates from Car and Driver would talk about a car. In many cases, it was more about themselves than the actual vehicle.

(And, hey, if some people laugh at my own reviews....that's their prerogative).
