Simple - the GS 300 is so good, it doesn't need electricity to be the best :P

Greatest ICE powered car off all time? As for Tesla losing boatloads of cash per car I thought people were beyond this type of nonsense. In a vacuum yes but Tesla continues to pour all available cash into expansion. One can argue if that will pay off or not.

Tesla will be huge player imo.

The EV market is growing like crazy and Tesla has it on lock right now. It is the only EV brand and has enormous brand recognition. Consumers are also willing to pay more for the Tesla name. That to me is huge and will be hard for other automakers to win those buyers over.

I was very impressed with my first drive of my coworkers Model 3 : great handling, spirited acceleration, very high tech, albeit a bit on the spartan side. We have tons around here in SF Bay Area, but I will pass on it now until a brand name company starts offering mainstream electric vehicle as well. This is primarily due to the QA woes that have been reported (and that my coworker experienced first hand having to reject 2 other "new" cars for paint and other issues, before settling on his present one).

LMAO, it didn't help Musk smoked a big fat joint on live TV, freaking idiot.
If Tesla doesn't overhaul the board right now, it could spell the end for the company

whole line of Model 3 outselling BMW's cars is pretty dumb if we consider that BMW sales overall increased... so Model 3 is definitely not taking luxury buyers away, it has its own set of customers that probably come from various different brands.

No, but the fact that he was willing to do that on a show with a large audience begs the question of whether all the decisions being made behind closed doors are being made with sober minds.

Also, for what it's worth, a lot of companies will fire an employee for testing positive for THC. So this just falls in the category of sketchy.

Yep, Tesla has a drug testing policy and code of conduct policy

Its the weekend car. I rarely use it enough to even call it a car. Its more like a piece of art that I keep in my garage.

Tesla is based in CA where recreational marijuana is approved. Also, the drug policy is in place so people don't show up to work (the factory, etc) drunk or high on drugs and have an accident that causes the company harm & liability. So... Musk wasn't at work, the company is HQ in a state where weed is legal, and the podcast is also filmed in the same state where weed is legal. Not sure I see how he's violating anything.

All great visionaries don’t do things like regular company heads do.

How fast we forget that Steve Jobs was hated by the same analysts that are trying to make Musk fit their description of a CEO. The guy created a company that produces EV cars that ALL the major automakers wish they currently had. Obviously he is doing something right. Scaling a business of any kind is hard but an auto manufacturer is almost impossible. Its actually pretty unbelievable what they have accomplished.

Musk a visionary!!! He is the captain of the Titanic. It's bonds are graded junk. In the last 3 1/2 years it has lost over 5 billion. In fifteen years they have never come close to making a profit. Their 15th year was their worst year with a loss of 1.96 billion. They lost 777 million in the first quarter of 2018 and 717 million in the second quarter. Consumer Reports ranks them 25th out of 29 in reliability. They listed their 10 dogs to avoid based on reliability and the Model X is #1. Tesla's time is borrowed as the federal tax credits will soon be disappearing and actual profitable car manufacturers increase production of cheaper, better looking and more reliable EV. The Jaguar I Pace built out with more options than the Model X is well under $25,000 less. The interior and exterior is 100% better looking. The average insurance rate for a Model 3 is $2,814 which is the same as a Porsche 911.
