My friend bought an AMG GT-S
Got to ride in this monster last weekend, and hopefully this weekend again as I am visiting the Bay Area.
First impressions: This thing corners very well, 295's in the rear, 265's up front.
Acceleration is BRUTAL and IMMEDIATE ! 60 to 130 comes awfully quick.
The seats hug you very well. Big 8 piston calipers up front (carbon ceramic brakes) and 4 piston calipers in the rear. These brakes can stop a freight train.
Horsepower: 503
Torque: 479
0-60 MPH: 3.7 sec
Top speed: 193 MPH
The exhaust note is very distinct, sounds like an LS3 with a mild cam.
The color is a metallic gold. Attracts a whole lot of attention, but I guess it's part of owning this car.
Unlike the SLS AMG, this car has a smaller V8, 4.0 Liters of displacement but 2 turbochargers (which sit at the top of the engine)
More specs and photos here:

I hope to go for another ride and mount my dash cam so I can get better video. This short video is when he came back after giving my other buddy a ride.
This is the 4th AMG I experienced, my friend had a C63 before and now has an ML-63 which he drives daily, this car is his weekend toy.

Nice, lol! Don't go trading your F in for one! Waiting for you to get back to the East coast so we can take our Fs out cruising again!
But yea, those are super car type numbers. What did it out down in the 1/4 mile? I didn't see that listed in the article. Maybe I over looked it.

never a fan of the AMG
But this one is actually pretty good. It's priced just right, great power, balanced handling unlike the other bizarre AMGs, almost exotic-looking and totally daily driveable. In fact the youtube guy from supercars of London picked this one over lamborghinis, R8, ferraris, astons, Mclaren etc. for his daily and I couldnt agree more with his reasoning
With the way AMGs depreciates I expect to see one for 60-70k in 2-3 years. That will be a good buy

Yes that is the solar beam yellow! My buddy has one as well and WOW. Sitting in it as super sweet and it is brutally quick, as you said. But driving it is something else. I love the way it handles, it's so planted and then the power is instantaneous. I also love the valvetronic exhaust that opens up when you put it in Sport+! Although it has 503 hp, that thing will keep up with faster cars. I've seen it beat a 2016 GTR and CTS-V's.
