Earthquakes in Japan Lead to Shutdown of Plants That Produce Toyota and Lexus Vehicles



A recent series of earthquakes in southwest Japan that have killed more than 40 people and injured more than 1,000 have caused Toyota to shut down a great deal of its vehicle production in the country.

I think majority of Japanese car manufacturers closed their facilities, not just Toyota.

sucks for Toyota... first that engine steel plant blowing up in January has lost them some production and this now - even if it should not be more than 60k vehicles affected in the end.
