Cheap mods..
Hey all, recently picked up an 04 gs300 with 60k miles. In the process of putting new rims snd tires on her, but I'm interested in giving her a little extra power. I came across some cheap mods on Ebay and i'm curious to what you guys think!? Note i'm trying to keep it a stock feel and don't want it to be loud?

Leave it stock man. The 2JZ doesn't really respond to bolt on parts. Now boost, yes it really responds to that, but doing a turbo build is a several thousand dollar proposition.
What I'd do is basic maintenance on the car. Has the timing belt service been done??? If not, set aside $500-1000 for that and get it done ASAP. Change the oil, transmission fluid, rear diff oil, and coolant. Make sure to use Toyota red coolant, not green coolant. Change the spark plugs, plug wires, distrubitor cap and rotor as well.
Once you've done all that, maybe consider a rear gear swap. I'm not sure if the GS300 came from the factory with a limited slip rear, but if you are changing gear ratios it would be prudent to throw in a limited slip as well. Do a search about this and read up, as I think a Toyota Supra rear might be interchangable(it is on the SC cars). Note that your already lousy gas mileage will suffer even more. This is the only cheapish mod I can think of that will give you a noticable seat of the pants improvement along with a quantifiable decrease in quarter mile ET.
