Hi all,
Just joined the club and would like to say hi, and hello, to everyone!
I bought a black, 2003 SC430 last October for my "better half" (she always wanted one of these! bonus points awarded!)
Being a Mercedes man (had a CLK320 Convertible, and an SLK230) I could never really appreciate other models - especially Lexus? Anyway, I had bought the SC as a surprise birthday present for the wife, but, it was in Northern Ireland!.....had no choice but to go to Ireland and bring it back to Scotland!
I wasn't really looking forward to this, but, needs must. When I picked it up in Belfast, I must admit, it really looked the part.....especially with black wheels! When I left Belfast to drive to the ferry port, it was raining and fairly dismal, and the traffic was really slow!....got to the point though where I thought I wasn't going to make the ferry in time, but, suddenly, the road was clear......foot went down.....and she leaped forward at a rate of knots!....wow!....impressed, I sure was! It drove like dream! Made the ferry on time, and sailed back to Scotland. By the time I arrived at Port, the weather had cleared, and it was bright, sunny, and a beautiful day....perfect for getting the roof down! Upshot was, I had a really perfect drive home.......power on tap whenever I needed it (often) Car was tight and perfectly balanced.
I've since became a convert, sold the CLK, and even thought about getting myself an SC (wife doesn't let me drive "her" car much!) but, on balance, I'm retiring fairly soon, so, wouldn't make sense to get another car, so, SLK will have to suffice (for now!) Anyway, hope this forum is as good as the MBO club!

Welcome to CL.
Congratulations on the SC.
You can discuss the SC in this sub-forum (Car Chat) if you want, since, here in Car Chat, we discuss virtually anything on wheels, 24/7, around the clock. But, if desired, you can also post in the more detailed sub-forums we have for specific Lexus models.....here's the one for your car:

Welcome! I owned '03 and '06 SC430s, and I still think they have some of the nicest, well-finished interiors I've ever seen. Great cars for top-down motoring as well. They also seem to last forever, so I'm glad you are enjoying yours. Great choice!
