Really wanted to cheer for Hyundai on this one. I wish they had done a bit more to make the production vehicle way more stylish and have a presence.
One of the issues is buyer psychology. People didn't want to pay $50K for a Hyundai despite the fact that these are good vehicles.
This new G80 to me looks way to much like a fave of mine from the 2000's - the Infiniti M45. And yeah, gotta lose the Bentley badge.

That's just it...it's not a Hyundai now. It's a Genesis. I paid $44k for a Kia Minivan. $50k ain't what it used to be.

Wow stunning profile, extraordinary details. Looks more german than any other german out there. Perfect stuff!

I see what you're talking about, but I don't think its meant to be an inverted spindle grill. That shape lower and upper grille is not an uncommon styling convention.
