The 2016 Lexus LX 570 Is A Big Lumbering Idiot-Mobile And I Hate It

So are you saying that a large enough population buys Lexus LX570s brand new and does with them what you are showing here? Enough for Lexus to take that into consideration when styling the LX?
Just want to be clear.
Certainly people do, but very few. Mostly people that buy them when they are older and depreciated.
Your summit Jeep has a compromised departure and approach angle from other GC trims. You chose that. Do you miss that? I think not. Nor do LX570 buyers because like you by and large they don't take them off-road.

But even there, in the Middle East the new LX a is so popular they buy them here and have them shipped over..so clearly the compromises made don't bother people.

Can one use the LX as a luggage hauler going to the airport for a family of 4, with 4 international travel size suitcases? + cabin luggage ?
I guess it does not matter. Customers of the LX would be traveling business or first class and would have a limousine picking them up

The rear third row seats fold flat so they can then fold sideways. It's one of the dumbest set ups ever as you cannot remove the seats. All previous LX models had removable seats.
It really boggles the mind that you cannot order a LC with a third row delete option. You can do this for the 4Runner but not the LX.

I don't use them, so it was an easy ~115 pounds off the rear axle for more cargo space.

It is interesting as that you bring up can it go to the airport when a lot of us have been talking about whether LX570 take this vehicle off-road. I think a more interesting question would be can the LX570 with its 21" rims and in stock form take 4 people far deep off-road with all of the camping gear in back?

Well, the way Lexus does their paint jobs (like a mirror)....who would WANT to take one of their products off-road and get it all scratched up or dinged? Yeah, SCRATCH-OUT will take out some of the surface stuff, but not a lot of what can happen off-road.

The Lexus LX570 Deserves More Praise Than It Gets
The updated Lexus LX 570 follows a recipe that’s now been left behind by most auto makers but is that a good reason not to recommend it? Motor Trend reviews the most expensive Lexus in their latest episode of Ignition to find out.
This is the most expensive car you can buy off a Lexus dealership, a huge, body-on-frame luxury off-roader that weighs the same as the moon and promises to be comfortable whether you’re driving across the highway or crawling up a big pile of rocks.
There are many genuine off-roaders left in this world, much less those who can actually do some serious dirt work and keep you in comfort inside a leather-cladded cabin with most of the premium bells and whistles you want.
Lexus has updated the LX 570 for the 2016 model year, redesigning the exterior significantly and pairing a more modern eight-speed automatic gearbox to its 383hp 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine.

Would A Big Bad Lexus LX F Make Any Sense?
With the 23 Comments now officially out, it's conceivable that some people might look at it and think that a little bit more aggression would be a good thing.
If you ask me, I agree with readers that the LX is too big or too bulky. It is definitely aimed at people who don't shy away from extremely large SUVs (mainly Americans), and would otherwise look towards a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade or a Mercedes-Benz GLS.
In terms of muscle, the LX 570 is good for 383 HP and 546 Nm (403 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to its 5.7 liter V8 power unit. That's not bad, especially considering how big it is. But that's kind of like the whole point of the LX. It's supposed to be big, refined, effortless and quiet (preferably).
Doing an 'F' version would clearly go against that - especially since it definitely wouldn't rival any type of AMG or M-Division rival in terms of straight line speed and handling. Even if you use the 470 HP 5.0 liter V8 from the GS F, it still wouldn't be a match for its German rivals.
In terms of appearance, I don't think the LX F would even look that much better than the regular version. I mean sure, it sits lower to the road, it has bigger wheels, bigger brakes, more aggressive spoilers and a dark grille - but it really looks like there's no point to it.
Besides, in terms of class, the Range Rover would definitely be the better choice. Especially for people who want to put "image" first.
