Issue with the CT6 is the interior is not to the same level as flagship cars. I'd be shocked if the G90 does not have a significantly higher end interior than the CT6, if it doesn't then it won't be the value we think it is at all.

The CT6 is a lot cheaper and it shows inside. The G90 needs to be cheaper and have it not show.

Default Genesis G90 Goes On Sale In The US From $68,100

Competing at the top of the premium luxury car segment, where the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class rule supreme, the all-new Genesis G90 is now available for order.

Powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 good for 365 HP and 376 pound-feet (510 Nm) of torque, the RWD 3.3T Premium is the most affordable of the range, at $68,100, while for the AWD model consumers will have to pay at least $70,600.

Hyundai's premium brand has a second engine in store for those looking for more power: a 5.0-liter V8 that is found on the Ultimate grade level and produces 420 HP and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque. The RWD variant starts from $69,700, while the AWD will set you back for 72,200. Both units are mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The G90 also packs an advanced safety and technology suit that counts the lane keep assist, lane departure warning, smart blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic bending light and high beam assist, smart cruise control with stop/start, multi-view and forward-view cornering camera and the list can go on.

The first examples of the Genesis G90, which is known as the EQ900 in South Korea, will arrive at retailers at the end of September. All prices are recommended by the manufacturer and exclude a $950 freight charge.

Nice. I think it is a great looking car inside and out. Really like the features and the 400hp engine is indeed impressive

Default New Genesis G90 Gets A Maybach-Style Long-Wheelbase Version

The Hyundai Group’s luxury spin-off Genesis is wasting no time expanding its lineup, with the newly born Korean brand now readying a more extravagant, stretched version of the G90.

We scooped Genesis’ engineers driving around a long-wheelbase G90 sedan near their German headquarters without any camouflage whatsoever. The tester reveals that the Koreans have stretched the G90 by adding more bodywork between the doors, while the rear door itself appears to be slightly longer as well.

Given that the base G90 measures 5,205mm (204.9 inches) long, the stretched model could approach 5.4 meters (nearly 213 inches) in length.

We haven’t caught a glimpse of the elongated G90’s interior yet, but expect a more lavish experience for the rear passengers, including a two individual seat layout and plenty of amenities ranging from massage functions to a chilled minibar.

The G90 LWB, or whatever Genesis calls this body style, as a name has yet to be confirmed, should get one or more of the regular model’s powertrains, which include a 315PS (311hp) 3.8-liter V6, a 370PS (365hp) 3.3-liter turbo V6 and a 425PS (419hp) 5.0-liter V8, all paired to a standard 8sp automatic driving the rear or optionally, all four wheels.

Technically, since the base G90 sedan is a Mercedes-Benz S-Class rival, the LWB G90 is Genesis’ answer not only to the LWB versions of the Audi A8 and BMW 7-Series, but also to the Maybach-badged S-Class. In reality, though, and at least in its first generation, the Korean model is unlikely to be cross-shopped with Merc’s flagship sedans.

The regular G90 will go on sale in Korea as the Genesis EQ900 at the end of this month, followed by a global launch in the first half of 2016. The longer wheelbase model should be offered at the same time.

Interesting pricing on engines, the 6 cylinder starts out at $69K with good power, 8 cylinder is only about $1500 more at $70,650 with over 400hp. Kind of makes it a no brainer to step up to the V8, V8 is likely slightly better equipped too. I like the design of the interior more then a 5 series, GS, RLX, A6, Caddy. They kept most buttons for most features which is very nice too though I will have to sit in one to see and feel the quality differences. Paying 70K for a Hyundai will be a very hard pill to swallow for many buyers but considering it is competing with flagship sedans that start over 15 or 20K more and it is now a stand alone lux brand they should get decent sales. I hope the brand scucceeds and forces other companies to offer better cars at their prices or even be more competitive with pricing which is getting way out of hand.
I loved the car already and can't wait to check out in person.................. i am getting tired of my LS460L executive. FYI, the $1,600 more for the V8 you will also getting 12-14 rear seats power adjustable.............. see the video @12:16.

Update:
V8 get more features over V6:
1. 14-way power right-rear seat and 12-way power. left-teat seat.
2. Integrated Memory System for rear outboard seats.
3. Rear seat illuminated vanity mirrors.
4. Rear power head restraints.
5. Full LED headlights with Dynamic Bending light.

So wow the V8 is a no brainer over the V6 turbo for about $1,600 more. I will pay little more for the V8 AWD.

Price is really great! So much value there! But I still don't like the front, everything else is nice and bland.

It really is amazing that in such a short time, Genesis has moved ahead of Cadillac and Lincoln for brand value. This thing starts at $70K and in paper and in images is a nicer car than Lexus LS. Just wait till the Genesis CUV and SUVs starting coming out, Genesis is going to be a very popular brand.

I don't think you can yet make that statement when nobody has even purchased a Genesis brand product. Value is more than just the MSRP and features. It takes time to see if Genesis cars will. E the better value.

Putting the cart way before the horse here. No telling many factors including reliability. If it only last 100 miles before breaking down, its not beating anything. From the looks of it, the power train isn't a departure from what they've already used, so it should be good.

I actually just got invited to go to the opening in New York to check it out. Not sure if I'm going to.
