One of my friend refuse to look at my Sedona when I suggest that to him since he was shopping for a Van, he said the badge a long makes the van useless/worthless. I feel sorry for him when he got his Odyssey LX with cloth seats, for a little less than my Sedona SX lol

I thank you for the review. In late spring I will be in the market to replace my current 750 (a reliability nightmare). Genesis is one of the vehicles on my list to research & evaluate. I have been reading all the reviews I can find. Hopefully by spring more details are available and cars on the lot at our local dealership. I don't have an ego and brand panache means zero. My evaluation benchmarks are engineering, build quality, after sales service, and overall value.

Once again Thank You.

Several years ago, I went to try a genesis. Maybe they think I can't afford a Hyundai by the way I dressed, I can't get a test drive after 20 mins.

My 460 is in the body shop this week, so I got a Hyundai Accent from them. Maybe I can write a test drive comparing it to 460. For 140hp $15000 accent, the most complaint is taking very long time to get to 35mph. You need to get double the safe distance to get your car in than 460. That almost get me in some dangerous situations. I think That car will have hard time to get on the highway

How does genesis hold its value? I know I bought my 5 years old 460 for 33% of its new price

Hyundai gave us a Sundae, but forgot the cherry. Overall loved the car so far final decision will be in person and test drive. I am a little disappointed on three things:

1. V8 carry-over from Equus 420hp...............wish hp bump to 430+hp................................. hello K&N and Aftermarket Exhaust System.
2. no Panamora Roof............................................. Panorama or double Sunroof
3. Like SW15LS said the Steering Wheel could use some Chrome, Wood, or Perforated leather.

I've walked into plenty of luxury dealerships and been ignored, including Lexus dealers. That's something that varies from dealer to dealer, not an example of issues with the brand.

I think Genesis figures most buyer will go for the 3.3T V6 and my guess is they are right.

As for resale, time will tell.

Yeah for $1,600 it's a no brainer. Question will be if there's a big difference in lease rates.

I think for only around $1500 more for the V8 there will be plenty of buyers, it is kind of a no brainer to step up to the V8 which also has a few more features. With other companies it normally well over twice to over 3 times that price just to step up to a bigger engine.

I don't really care the V8 was carried over, it is still a 420hp V8 and plenty of power, more then enough really. I am not so sure about Hyundai engines and think the V8 would be the safer but then a newer twin turbo 6 cylinder.
