Wouldn't lifting design elements from the higher end players you would like to emulate make the most sense?

That way the target customers have an immediate familiarity and comfort level with your car.

Very similar switchgear to Benz and Audi indeed.

A little bit yeah.

This is neat to see. It's not every day we see a new Marque join the automotive scene. Very curious as to how well received Genesis will be in say 5 years, how much of an impact its had on the market, and what new offerings are in their Stable.

I'm actually quite excited to see Hyundai will finally officially launch the Genesis brand. It surely won't have the same impact as Lexus did in 1990. However, with Genesis' luxury/value proposition, it will shake things up for the competition (esp the Japanese luxury brands) making it a win for the consumer in the end.

Any word on a dedicated dealer network? Or through existing Hyundai dealerships?

From what I understand, it will be through selected Hyundai shops right now. But, as more money and resources become available, through a separate dealer network.

Ooh this is nice! Hyundai (and their new subsequent Genesis brand) is on a roll, and I like it.

I like that they aren't afraid to put some chrome on their cars. Something that I think is lacking from a lot of cars nowadays, a little trim.
