I'm as big a Lexus guy as you will find, and I will admit it's gotten a little over the top. The new RX, the NX, the refresh GS and IS are sore spots for me. It's not just the grille, it's the whole package.

I do like the LC, so hopefully it's moving in a better direction. Too many angles, sharp creases, etc in a lot of places.

i agree. the new rx is particularly garish with its harsh, discordant angular design.

I was looking for a coupe when I traded in my '13 GS F Sport. I was very happy with my Lexus, so the natural progression would have been to the RC F-Sport. I just couldn't get past that huge, wavy grill. I didn't even test drive it. I went with an Audi S5. The S5 was almost 9 model years old, but I still preferred the look. Yes, it had a big grill, but not as extreme as the Lexus. I give Lexus kudos for creating something recognizable and unique that has increased sales. It just isn't for me.

BTW, I'm also not crazy about the big chrome-surround grills on the new Audi Q7 and Q5, but I would choose the Q5 over the RX because it doesn't scream "look at me".
