On a bumpy road, it's easier to get messed up with your fingers on a touch-screen than it is with old-fashioned ***** and switches. You intend to touch one icon, then the bump knocks your finger against the one next to it instead. That can be frustrating.

Actually, Och has a pretty good point. One does not have to be super-reactionary (or necessarily want to go back to early-20th-century phones) in order to dislike a lot of today's touch-screens, which can have a lot of built-in problems. It's hard to beat simple *****...and today's ***** themselves can be electronic. They don't have to work by old-fashioned variable-resistor (potentiometer) action. Study after study still shows touch-screens, in general, as the #1 complaint from the public in today's new vehicles.......including my own reviews.

Why would you rather have touch screens then buttons in a automobile?

For me, the display looks good and just has less buttons. Also, I use the hard steering wheel controls more. Just my thoughts. I have cars with both.
