It actually looks bearable with those wheels and the right paint choice, but everybody knows it just has lines and angles that won't age well at all. Meanwhile, German offerings will always look good no matter how old.
The RX has reliability on its side though, which is a huge deal.
I've grown to like the crazy maul up front, but the hearse side buttress windows still look terrible. I wouldn't want this vehicle for that reason. The NX however, has a much more agreeable side profile.
The RX has progressed over the years and I love the look of the RX 450h F-Sport. A former long-time Club Lexus moderator recently purchased a fully loaded Caviar 2016 RX 350 F-Sport with the triple L LED headlights for his wife and looks awesome.
Outside the U.S. the RX turn signals are progressive instead of a solid blinking turn signal very similar to the new Audi A4's turn signals.
As far as sales of the RX, it should hit about 104,000 units this year which would be more than 2015 (100,610 units).
Like the others, I love the interior. As for the exterior, I am generally okay with it, depending on options and color. I like the rear and side view, but the grill is still touch and go with me - some days I am fine with it and other days I'm not.
All that said, if the RX offered a 3rd row, we probably would have purchased one instead of our Highlander, just based on how much we (especially my wife) loved our 2013 RX. Our family expanded and we wanted a 3rd row this time around.
