i test-drove both, and i cross-shopped both (the quattro and the rwd). i thought they were both nice cars; i thought they were both cool cars. i ended up choosing neither.
I think you can believe me. I've had 2 M35's, an FX35, a G37 Coupe and 2 G37 Convertibles in the 10 years I've lived in Dallas, all purchased/leased from this same salesperson. Most of my posts were in Freshalloy, which is pretty much dead these days. These were from 2008...

We also usually trade in December. One G37 had a red bow on it when we picked it up. That's probably another reason she thinks we are itching to trade. Unfortunately, Infiniti doesn't really have anything that interests me right now. The Q50 is a nice-looking car, but it is coarse and unrefined compared to an Audi and the interior with the waterfall dash and dual screens does nothing for me.

I don't see any reason not to believe the OP (desag2). IMO it is not a troll.....he simply shared his experiences with us and (apparently) wanted our comments on it. I did the same thing here on Car Chat when I went shopping for my last new car.

I actually dislike the feel and sound of hybrid powertrains under all acceleration situations.

The Q50 just doesn't impress me. Its great looking, but the interior is cheap in places, where the A4 feels expensive everywhere.

I'd be nervous driving a Q50 with that Adaptive Steering option that has an electronic connection in the shaft vs. direct-mechanical hookup (an all-mechanical connection supposedly engages if the electronics fail). When I reviewed a Q50, maybe I was just being overly-cautious (which, of course, auto reviewers aren't always supposed to be)....but I deliberately chose one without that option.

I haven't driven one with the adaptive steering, like you I chose the car without that option.

C&D ranks the Q50 #7 in the segment. They rank the new A4 #1.

In between them are C Class, Giulia, 3 Series, 4 Series and Jag XE.

Im confused as to where C&D draws those rankings from (is it just one editor?) because it doesn't correlate to comparison test results most of the time. Usually they're good about explaining their methodology but not for that.

C & D rankings never really make all that much sense.

Typical end of month/year tactics by dealerships, nothing new.

I like their comparison tests plenty fine- they usually explain themselves in the prologue very well. I actually like C&D best out of the American mags.

You mentioned comparison test. I just referred to their rankings.
