Exactly. Simply a placeholder, since the 200t cannot be mated with AWD at the moment.

Wow...I'm really surprised by that...

But when you know what you like, you know what you like! Life's too short to drive something you don't like.

So how did you get the A4 and then return it? they let you do that without a fee?

I wanted an Audi but my wife felt the same as you and said the looks were too boring and looked like a normal sedan. We ended up with the IS350 and it has taken a while for me to warm up to it but I will say I do look back at it when park the car and do like the more agressive looks. Really the only thing I don't like about the IS F-sport is the lack of memory seats and the crappy gas mileage and I mean really crappy. It barely gets better gas mileage then my GX which is absurd.

I believe he traded the Audi in at the Lexus dealer as part of the IS transaction.

IS (almost 3 years) to HS (6 months) to A4 (6 weeks) to IS.

Took a 6.5k hit in depreciation in the overall deal.

Haha, interesting coincidence with your wife! Agreed, the IS is a pig on gas. A4 was superb here and got 28 MPGs mostly city. IS barely 18.

Killed no I'm still here, wounded yes but cured quickly with the smiles the IS gives me.

Well I'm glad you found what you were looking for.

Your assessment of the A4 sums up my thoughts about that car and the Audi brand as a whole: incredibly well-rounded luxury vehicles that unfortunately don't get the blood pumping. Handsome yet forgettable styling, high-quality but "cold" feeling interiors, and a good but not memorable driving experience.

with that trend line hopefully you'll have the IS more than 6 DAYS.

very honest of you to say (much respect) and thanks for not being one of those who claimed they didn't lose anything in such a transaction. and while it's not peanuts, if we spend much of any time in a vehicle, that's not a big amount to make sure we're happy doing so!

You can actually keep the Lexus more than 3 years without worrying that everything's gonna take a big dump on you. Good call on the switch.
