No that was a concept from the 2012 Detroit Auto Show i believe... the NS4 plug in hybrid. It was thought to influence the design of the latest Prius.
That concept model has been around forever, so long, in fact, that every year, someone reposts it and ups the model year -- one year it will be "The new 2014 Camry", the next year it will be reposted as "The new 2015 Camry", and so on, and so on, and so on...
It does not match the camouflaged models (shown earlier in this thread) so we know that it cannot be the next Camry.
I like what I'm seeing. The low belt line/window line looks nice, with a strong shoulder. Very Toyota looking up front, and C pillar and trunk lid remind me of the 2006-2011 Camry.
I feel the same way about the Sonata Sport exhaust... BUT I'm glad Toyota is seemingly injecting some sport into the Camry. Although it was never a sporty car to begin with, there's no car in this segment that has a true sport package aside from cosmetics. Then again, this could be all cosmetics too, so we'll see...
That's a very thin disguise, as far as disguises go. You can pretty much see the final details here. Of course, if you lower any car, it will always look good.
Not too shabby. What it looks like is an updated version of two generations ago- a lean and low body style that was very well received by the public. I think twelve years from now, the current generation will be remembered as the frumpy one.
Saw the prototype in Manhattan NY a few weeks ago. Took a peek inside and the dash is very Avalon/Sienna inspired. It had a small screen and doesnt look like it had nav. Sporting the same wheels and camo as the above pics. Its definitely bigger than the current gen and has a road presence the current gen doesnt have and certainly looks solid and all of one piece going down local streets and hitting bumps. The driver and passengers were drinking a smoothie.
