Just reported today...
Lexus USA has reported 15,572 total sales for January 2017, a 25.6% decrease over last year.

IS Model a decrease of ‐34.7

This is what I have noticed with Lexus regarding the new IS, that large decline in #'s has a lot to do with Japan not shipping over or even making the 2017 IS 350. I bought my 2007 Lexus IS 350 from JM Lexus in Margate, at the time the largest volume dealership in the USA. When the redesigned 2017 IS was announced last year, I watched JM Lexus website for new inventory and from Oct 2016 to Jan 2017 they have not listed even 1 IS 350, they have plenty of IS Turbo's but not 1 IS 350. How can they compete against other brands when they don't even keep any IS 350's in stock. This has changed for Lexus because I have noticed that JM Lexus in Margate would always have IS 350's in stock for previous years 2015, 2016 but 2017 things have really changed now they are only stocking the turbo model. Another reason for the IS low sales #'s is due to killing the option for the new triple beam headlights, offering it on other Lexus models in the USA but not for the IS model in the USA, all they are offering is a single beam projector headlight which doesn't look as good in my opinion. So I'm not surprised at all at these Lexus IS #'s decreasing so drastically. Something is just not right.

Why is toyota/lexus having trouble (or choosing limits?) with deliveries? Is it because they want the volume for other parts of the world? Supply chain issues? It almost feels like they're giving up on the u.s.

toyota / lexus took a beating last month. 422 gs?! wow that's pretty bad... i don't see supply of lexus being low, i see pretty much most models at dealerships still. i do have a feeling they are not as aggressive lately on lease compared to 12 months ago.

good to see so many nsx getting sold!
