Oh sure, its all a matter of personal taste. The big thing is the luxury nameplate. If you want "a Lexus" you're not going to consider a Maxima or Ford Fusion. I would drive the ES long before I drove either of those cars.
For ES money what I'd have a hard time turning down is a Genesis G80.
