Can't really tell from the images, but I hope the Navigator eschews the electronic push-buttons for the inside door releases that the Continental uses (the Continental trim-influence inside the Navigator is obvious). I'm generally a fan of the Continental (although it is a little big for my parking-space)....but IMO one of its very few faults is the E-button system for the inside door-release, where both the E-button and the emergency manual back-up lever are awkward to reach. That IMO, was an answer in search of a problem.

Nah, that's what the Excursion was for lol.
As far as this debate about it being, bold, brash, and a bit garish, personally I love it. Its a huge American luxury car, so it should be slightly obnoxious. The classic Lincolns of the 50's/60's/70's certainly were bold, daring designs that stood out. The Escalade inherits the mission/title of the old Fleetwood Brougham and this Navigator is the equivalent of the old late 50's/60's/70's Continental and Town Car.

Looks like a nice design. I can see this selling well in the wealthy neighborhoods. There are a few touches that are flat out bad, but overall, it should go over well. Probably one of the ugliest sets of retro seats I've ever seen. And the rims are childish. Front end is sleek and modern though.

Looks way nicer than the previous Gen, but for American luxury SUV, Escalade is just so successful, that anyone looking to buy a demostic would put it first to consider, along with Denali.
One of my wealthiest client, who owns RR autobiography, Escalade Long wheel base, GLS550, RR wraith, RR ghost, S65, Bentley continental GTC, AMG G63etc., always choose to take the Escalade out with family, when I asked why, he just said I like driving it the most, so much so, he bought another Escalade short base for the wife too.

This is why I said the Escalade has so many things on the Lexus LX. People in the U.S. love the domestic large SUV's and trucks in the U.S. Escalade has a loyal following.

I agree that it's very "American" which is cool, it's just not my thing really. I would rather have something a little "quieter" lol.
In this case I would rather have an LX, although I would rather have the Range Rover than the LX.

How much time is left on your LS lease? The big Jag/Land-Rover shop out in Chantilly has a fair number of 2017 RRs in stock right now. For a long time, they were very hard to get....I couldn't even get one for a test-drive.

As for whether I would actually buy a Range Rover, its considerably more expensive than what I have, and very similar in lease cost to an S550 optioned the way I would want (which is more expensive, but the S550 leases better and you can get better discounts). Both of which would lease out around $1,400-$1,450/mo which is $500 more than I'm paying now which at this juncture I really don't want to spend. The Range Rover I would also likely have to buy in order to take advantage of the bonus depreciation write-off I am eligible for, which further increases the cash outlay and would tie me to the vehicle for 5 years. With similar costs involved I would have a hard time not going for the S Class.
So in short, while I do really love the vehicle I don't see a Range Rover in my future lol
