Thanks, Sulu. If the mods want to close it (that's up to them), I have no problems with that.

I actually had more than one chance to bow out.....the order had to go in three separate times because of Buick's topsy-turvy marketing. And I changed my mind after I first ordered a '17 and the order wouldn't go through. I'm not convinced (yet), though, for a number of reasons, that a '17 would actually be a better buy, particularly one that was actually built months ago. There's a reason that the dealers can't get rid of them. Word is going out that the '18s will have a much better transmission for the V6 (the 4-cylinder-hybrid and 6-speed will be the new base powertrain, along with a $1500 reduction in the base price, making the V6 and the new advanced 9-speed now an option. So, as I mentioned more than once, despite intense pressure from some of my colleagues here (people whom I respect....I know they they aren't dummies) to cut and run with the '17 incentives, we still don't know what an '18 is going to cost compared to a '17. Buick hasn't even announced official pricing yet, other than a (roughly) $1500 drop on the base hybrid models.

And, if I do end up paying a little more (which, I admit, is a possibility, if not a fact)...trust me, I'm not going to be sleeping on any grates, or lose my house. I've got way more in the bank than I will ever need for this car. I don't buy anything in life that I can't afford.

Mike made a good choice, the new LaCrosse is an excellent car. I would've gotten one if it had been available 4 years back and if it had a hybrid option.
