did the BMW autocross
Much as I feel things went a little downhill product-wise, when the F series 3 came out, the car co. still sponsors outstanding free events with pro instruction and sans the sales element, much like Porsche. One can see why they keep the brand image so strong.
edit One thing different than Porsche, was we did not keep our foot on the gas and brakes at all time....it was raining pretty hard throughout...at least it wasn't like Jaguar where it was drizzling and the entire event was canceled and all we got were cheesy hats!
next up is the Caddy event in 3 wks, autocrossing and featuring the CTS-V. I have yet to drive a car that has over 600 HP, so I guess there's always a first time for everything lol (my sneaking suspicion is you ride in the CTS-V with a pro, but you autocross in a CTS twin turbo V sport....)

Invited by the mfg, since it's free, it was not driving the M cars. If you just show up, I'm not sure what the chances of doing the event is. Because each group has 6 people, meaning, 1 instructor, 3 passengers per 540i, times two, times 4. This implies 24 people per 2 hour time slot. I was double-booked and I got a call from CT asking which one I was doing so they could free up the spot for someone else.
Porsche seemed to be handled at the dealer level, as the dealer asked if I would be interested (that was sick, everyone was required to drive a Cayman S, Cayman GTS, 911 Carrera S, 911 Carrera GTS, Panamera S, Panamera GTS. props to cos. who do that and have ZERO sales element to it. BMW also has teen driver clinics, and interestingly, not enough teens to fill the spots. They said in the NYC area, the next one is at Citi Field in Nov.

The Caddy event is in the same place, ours is 5/6...
I glanced over at that street drive, and I would have tried a new 7 series, but didn't see one....
