Hi. Im new to the forum. So ive been a leus guy for years. Started with an 97 es 300 and moved up to a 99. Later upgraded to an 2002 ls 430 in 2012 while in Nursing school. Cl package maybe (ml sound system and nav nothing else). Just recently, a few days ago my car was totaled and i was not at fault. Now im in the market for a new lexus. Was looking at the 08/09 460 but i stumbled across a beautiful 06 ls430 but unfortunately its a base. Asking price is 15,000. Mileage is right at 57,000. 2 owners. All serviced throughh plaza lexus here in st louis. This car seems like a catch and ive driven it and loved it. Carfax is clean and tomorrow im taking it to my personal mechanic. Irealky like it but i cant shake the feel of it being sort of a downgrade. I did have a few problems with the nav system in my 02 ls430 and some of the speakers went out with the ml. I originally bought the 02 ls with 90,000 on it for 11,500. I plan to pay for this ls straight up. Need some advice on if this is a steal like i think it is or not. I know base ls's have the perks in the sense i dont have to worry about electronic repairs as much referring to the nav, but i never had real issues. I rarely used the nav if at all when i had my 02. Just used the screen for the radio and such. Any response or advise is appreciated.
