Default Lexus SUV with reclining second row?

My family owns a lot of SUVs as we travel in large groups. The sequoia is the only one that truly reclines. The Touareg, Porsche, and Audi only recline about 1" back. I am looking for my next SUV (smaller than my sequoia). Does Lexus have any Touareg size models with a 2nd row with leg room for 6'4" husband and son that can reclining for sleeping kids ...like 45 degrees or more?

both the RX and NX have reclining second row seats, but I dont believe as much as 45 degrees, maybe 60.

I think the GX/LX 2nd rows have quite a bit of recline. At least the 1st gen GX did... Haven't sat in the 2nd rows of the GX/LX in a while.

Pretty sure the RX, GX, and LX all recline.

OP was specifically asking about a significant recline capability, not just ability to recline.

The rear seats in my 2013 RX would recline, though they were fairly limited and nothing like 45 degrees. I don't recall exactly (I don't have it anymore). The middle row captain's chairs in my Highlander recline all the way (you can pretty much lay all the way back).

This is pretty much as far as the Lexus ones recline on all the SUV models

Yep, that's it. Also, in the GX (pictured) you can slide the second row about 6 inches forward or backward. Also, GX is smaller then the Sequoia.

If Lexus would just Lexusfy the Sequoia already, they would sell so many more Lexus Sequoia models than they would the LX.

I second that. Adding the attention to detail Lexus puts in their vehicles with the Sequoia package would be ideal for me. The price is an issue though. The Sequoia pushes $60k in platinum trim. That would put the Lexus Sequoia awfully high and would creep up to the LX. I believe that's why I think it's wise for Lexus to extend the RX. The crossover market is on fire.

In general, a good idea, although it might take more re-engineering inside than at first meets the eye. From what I have seen of the Sequoia, there are a number of cheap plastic parts inside (and cheap plastic trim outside) that just wouldn't cut it as a Lexus. In fact, IMO, even as a Toyota, that aspect of the vehicle could be improved.

headroom and ride quality just as important as recline. many of new models are addressing this across many brands/models...I always hated "sea sickness when riding in back seats of bigger vehicles due to poor suspension/bounce.

I would assume Toyota would just delete the Platinum Sequoia trim? If they could get the Lexus Sequoia around $75K, you would have a massive hit on their hands and perhaps they could keep the Platinum going.

Not sure how this thread turned into Lexus sequoia but Ill bite. Not sure how it would be "a massive hit" when the market appeal for such large SUVs is small compared to mid and small sizes. In a world of LX and GX, not sure there is room for another 3rd row here...
