I've never been a fan of chrome packages, because they're usually awful looking. But the 2015+ F-150 did it right(except the rims, those are hideous). Later on I may swap for the door handles as well. Maybe the tow hooks too. I did knock my ambient air temp sensor loose putting it back together, so I had no air conditioning yesterday. Took it back apart and fixed it last night.
My original plan was to use the Lariat grille(see below) which has a cleaner look than the base XLT one, but they are not as easy to find nor as cheap.

In some ways, I actually prefer the thicker chrome bars of this package you posted, though I agree that those two big kidney-shaped holes on each side makes it look awkward. That alone probably justifies the switch to the thiner chrome bars.

Was reviewing my year in photos and decided to share some of my adventures this year.
And a rare clean photo
Almost fitting in the garage
Barely fits with enough adjustment. I keep it outside.
Just a normal saturday.
I think i parked in a Ford ad.
Putting it to work

Another update.
I've had the truck for just over 2 years and had 2 minor issues in that time.
Back in January my starter began to fail(it wouldn't work the first time, but would the second). I ordered a starter and had an independent shop change it out. Would have done it myself but it's not in an ideal location for DIY.
2 weeks ago I was bouncing it over an ATV trail up in central Utah when I broke a bolt in the driver's seat assembly. This caused the seat to rock back and forth. My guess is this was a combination of my weight(roughly 250) combined with me bouncing it over a very very rocky trail(and probably cumulative stress from bouncing it on rough roads in the desert at speed). Took it in to Ford last week and had it fixed along with a couple of minor recalls.
Overall the experience is still very good. Wouldn't trade it for anything right now.
