Lol yeah, that's the fool who said an LS430 is a money pit and a bad purchase.

Going back to all your previous posts, how do you feel about stock Supra beating 2019 M2 Competition in acceleration, handling and braking tests?

Folks a reminder if you post offsite links you must post a description of what you are sending folks to. Not just URL safety because we get spammers posting single links all the time we have to clean up, but to help other members decide if it’s worth their time to look at what you posted.
Simple courtesy. If you cant take the 90 seconds of time to do that, then just don’t post them.
pruned a couple of recent link and run posts that did that; members are welcome to repost if they take a minute to describe them

M2 Competition has:
- Real M engine
- DCT Transmission
- Manual Transmission
- Larger Brakes
- Useable Interior with rear seats
- Full trunk
Supra is a great BMW and the cheapest way to have an almost M car experience.
M2 came out 5yrs ago and is in its last Model Year. The new Z4/Supra chassis is definitely superior to M2 setup or M3/4 but there are a lot sacrifices to be made in useability, which is fine but a rebadged BMW is not special enough to be a weekend car for me at least.
I’m happy the reviews are very positive and i think aftermarket will be huge. If it sells well then hopefully we will get more extreme versions and MANUAL!

You know, these braking and acceleration tests are getting pretty much obsolete for 99% of people. I had an m235i, now have m2, and will soon have the new Supra. I really don't care if one beats another to 60 by half a second, you're not even going to feel it in real world driving. I like the M2 over m235i due to more aggressive looks and better engine/exhaust sound. Both are very much fun cars for me, and I'm sure Supra will not disappoint either.

A "quick review" (14 minutes) of one of the most respectable car youtubers out there. No surprise, his review offers a unique view about the car.

Toyota supra vs. Porsche 718 cayman vs. Bmw m2 competition
Interesting comparisons, I must say the Supra is looking like the best bang for the buck in these tests. Good read quoted the actual numbers below, rest of write up is in article.

............Despite their different personalities, their performance numbers are almost identical. We triple-checked the numbers to be sure.
- Zero to 60 mph: 3.9, 4.0, 4.1 seconds—Supra, M2, Cayman.
- Quarter mile: 12.4 seconds at 114.7 mph, 12.5 seconds at 111.2 mph, 12.6 seconds at 110.3 mph—M2, Supra, Cayman.
- Skidpad: 1.01 g, 1.01 g, 1.03 g—Supra, M2, Cayman.
- Figure eight: 24.0 seconds at 0.83 g, 24.0 second at 0.81 g, 24.1 seconds at 0.82 g—Supra, Cayman, M2.

Great #s for the Supra especially for $50-55k.
hopefully manual and high performance versions are on the way.
Still feel the M2 is the best bang for the buck plus you can save $3k by going with a manual.
Rear seats, full trunk, real M engine and DCT trans.

I like the M2 for the engine and manual but I rather the Supra body I don't care for back seats as anyone has yet to sit in backseat of my MKIV. M2 body is too close to tons of BMW sedans around but that's just me.

Looks like the Toyota folks already crashed one at the ring.

Supra beating the Cayman in the latest MT comparison is surprising, but props to Toyota for doing something BMW has been incapable of with the Z4 (against the Boxster). It really did take BMW and Toyota to collaborate to beat Porsche though.
The M2 is great on its own, but will never match the Supra's and Cayman's pure sports car feel. With the numbers being so close for all three, it's all about the feel and we all know BMW has forgotten how to properly put steering feel.
I don't even see the point of putting the M2 in the comparison. Honestly, there are no subcompact RWD sedans in the market for it to compete. Some people might cross shop by price, but I can think of much better competition from the aging C7 Corvette.

A short comparison between the Supra, Cayman GTS, and the M2. Sounds like the Cayman GTS is the benchmark, the M2 is a "riot," and the Supra has qualities of both. Reviews have been more positive than I expected.
