We saw the new Supra today. Launched in Canada, but cannot build on the website. No launch edition. Selling for full MSRP. Super (ra) limited availability. These are my husbands pics. Interior even though it is a BMW looks sensational. I love the fact there are only two seats.
The bad: the plastic hood scoops and vents look pathetic.
This dealer was outside of Toronto, and apparently is planning to mark up the MSRP, but it is using an auction method.

It is the difference between passion for something and not having any passion. Like Tacoma TRD Pro, or 4Runner TRD Pro, this new Supra is special car for a Toyota fan...nothing wrong with that. (I doubt it will get many $100K buyers) and I am sure Toyota might step in.

A lot of dealers have marked it up very high and I personally think it's a marketing move. Now there are some consumers that just have to have the latest product first and they may buy it, but the fact that dealers get higher website hits is good for them. Bring people to the site because of 100K Supra and some will check out other stuff.
Me personally would wait until the dust settles, bugs worked out and get a 2nd or 3rd year release.

Here is Toyota Australia re-opening the order book...what an interesting way of launching this new Supra. 22 minutes to sell out the original batch ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Want to get your hands on a new Toyota Supra, but missed out on the first allocation? Toyota has announced the order books will re-open on July 17 at midday, Melbourne and Sydney time.
Just 100 examples of the Japanese sports coupe (and its German heart) will be up for grabs on Wednesday, with customers able to choose between GT and GTS model grades.
Nurburg Matte Grey paint hue won't be available for the second round of buyers. Blame high demand, which saw Toyota Australia’s entire allocation for the ultra-limited colour sold out until the end of the year.
The first wave of reservations opened on June 19th, with all 150 cars snapped up in just 22 minutes.

As a refresher on how the ordering process works, interested buyers must log on to the myToyota portal at the designated time and fill out an application form, which includes selecting your preferred trim level and colour, and paying a $1,000 fully-refundable reservation fee.
A Toyota concierge will then get in contact, confirming your specification with a $4,000 deposit.

I have a MKIV Supra in my garage that's making north of 8XXHP at the wheels. I'm not one that has to have everything first, if I buy this car it will be modified not to the extent of my MKIV but it won't be stock. Me waiting allows the bugs to be worked out and the aftermarket to find the limits. I'm sure Toyota took measures to make sure it works right but I'm not the average consumer.
