that's why it's important to specify zupra or supra... paying $100,000 for a supra can be totally understandable, paying $100,000 for a zupra is never nor will ever be understandable
by ‘supra’ i assume you mean gen iv or older... you really think it’s understandable for someone to pay $100K for a 20+ year old car? a supra isn’t a ferrari. your e55 is more special than a supra and one of those would never be anywhere close to $100K. oh right, the e55 wasn’t in fast n furious.

USDM MKIV Supra prices went up again a few years ago with most desirable being certain colors and configurations like 6spd Hardtops. The unmolested ones even command more than modded ones. I would say Supply and Demand was the cause, many thought the 25 year rule with bringing in RHD examples would impact the USDM market but it didn't. Couple that with the view that the MKV is a failure and yes MKIV Supra prices have skyrocketed. Some people with the disposable income will pay and have paid 6 figures for some of them.

also idk if you've driven a mk iv buts it's definitely not just a fancy Celica lol, and with a few thousand spent on upgrades it will "decimate all"
It is not myth that Supra from the last gen is a highly sought after vehicle. I think the new BMW architecture will help keep the past gen values quite high.
I would literally rather burn $120k in cash for a viral YT video, then to spend it on a zupra.
You could buy 2 base C8's for that cash, or you could buy one crash into a wall then buy another one the next day.
edit: okay what i said was harsh but im sorry to be negative but I mean the car perfomance wise is irrelevant now. The heritage is there kinda, I guess if if bmw counts. The c8 is just near the same price, its done.
went to the old stomping ground to say hello and check out the car, looks cool but not that unlike the BRZ, and is similarly not very spacious inside... it also only took me about 8 seconds to locate a BMW logo (right under the front of the hood)
what i didn't realize is that it literally makes thesame exact BMW door open chime, i also hit my head on the roof the first time i got in lol (i'm 5'10")
is it strange that i got more excited about seeing this previa in the back? i mean of the two, only one of them is AWD, mid-engined, supercharged, and has 360 degree rotating captains chairs
