Difference is BMW dealers have dealt with this for over 10 years and for most part they are OK with it. Partly because the “enthusiasts” drive revenue for the brand especially with ///M cars and Mperformance parts.

I know Subaru is the opposite so we shall see how Toyota dealers handle it.

United Speed Racing based in GA bought a Launch Edition and took it out to Road Atlanta for baseline runs. Their plan is to develop road race track specific products for it. Glad to see there will be more than just drag builds.

It's been my experience that Lexus dealers are generally OK with it. I just sold my FBO 2008 ISF and even though I did not visit the dealer's often, they all expressed interest in the car and employees would all gather around it. Now that I have my LC they seem genuinely interested in what I have planned for it. And one Lexus dealer in the phoenix area even hosted a meet for "F" cars, that drew cars from the LA area. There's another meet planned for next year. My LC and I will be there.

Are you saying that I can tune my M340 and if my engine blows for whatever reason they won’t void my warranty? Bolt ons I can understand but increasing boost, fuel, etc. I have a hard time believing this and it seems contrary to what I have read on the BMW forums. I know some friends that work at Nissan and Mercedes they can easily tell if you have tuned the car and if they send that info abroad if there are any real issues with the engine to make sure it hasn’t been tampered with. If it has, you are paying out of pocket.

These are flash ECU tunes with various Maps where you can up the boost and also change how the power is delivered.

Most ppl flash back to stock before going in for service.

If the dealer is not cool, they can easily tell ECU was flashed but i have never heard of it.

If you blow your engine, you are SOL - im talking about just regular warranty work that would not be result of a tune.

It doesn't look like the modded one pulls that much on the stock.

A lot of us have been waiting eagerly to get our hands on the new Supra but some of us have a bit more money to burn.

Wow... Well, if you have money to burn, why not. Makes me wonder how much markup we'll see on the C8. Something tells me there will be quite a bit...

Can't wait for every Supra in every dealership to be priced over MSRP. And then Toyota will ask why the Supra aren't selling. Then they will never offer manual transmission due to low sales.

The dealer near me have one priced at $109,600 last week, then dropped to $83,000 and yesterday its listed at MSRP.
I think the 2020 Corvette took the sail out of the Supra.Under MSRP soon.
