The passenger recording the video was holding a tablet that was gathering engine data. It looks like they were testing a tune. Apparently it made more power than they expected.

From the pictures, the crash performance was exceptional. This is a worst-case type of crash for a car with a straight six--head on into a narrow object, dead center on the engine block. One would have expected it to drive the engine back through the passenger compartment. But there's no obvious damage to the center console area, so it looks like there was minimal intrusion if any.

Fyi - with just tune, Zupra will hit around 400+ who.... And the guy that crashed seemed to have never driven a RWD before in his life.....lol

The reviews in this years Car and Driver "Lightning Lap" are pretty exceptional for this car... It's putting down times on par with cars twice its price... Not to mention the only cars faster around the lap with less power only include the Ariel Atom and KTM X-bow...

I gotta say it gents - this car has me googly-eyed. Five to ten year down the road Rudy might need him some of this action...

Nah. I've noticed you're all about EVs and more power to you but the ICE still has a long way to go before America fully embraces EVs.

I'm not old, and not that young either (37) and I have no use nor desire to ever drive an EV. I think personally it's crazy that people spend so much money on these Telslas, I know I'm not the only one.

Pollution? Plugging it in at home still will use/burn fossil fuels. And jack your electric bills up. Nothing is free.

I mean, kudos to new technology, I guess, but I'll be one of the last on board to sign up for us all whirling around in Jetson-mobiles.

I think you've lived in Florida way too long. Its going to be decades and decades until EVs take over ICE in the North East major cities.

ironic, when this came out people complained it wasnt anything like the old supra, yet it going electric is going to make it somehow relevent to enthusiasts. Making this EV would make it irrelevant as a supra

You have a good point. Making two errors doesn't necessarily correct the first one.


I wouldn't say the whole northeast, but there is some truth to those, at least in New York state and Massachusetts, moving to lower-cost areas. Those two states, like California, simply tax too much, and, even when taxes aren't involved, other costs are also too high.
