Some poor uneducated Mini owner made a grave mistake by filling the engine with WASHER FLUID! Check it out...

I very rarely ever use washer fluid myself. Most of the time, I simply keep the windshield clean by hand....does a better job.

But yes, that's a point....fluid-reservoirs and filler-caps are marked for a reason. During auto-reviews, I routinely mention how easy (or difficult) they are, in general, to reach.

Almost been there, almost done that. I had to help a family member who once put windshield washer fluid into the engine coolant tank.

Next time, put 15 gal of pure water into gas tank. It saves a lot of money. 15 gal pure water = $3.75, 15 gal of gas = $45.

Nobody's perfekt. I know someone who put orange antifreeze in aGerman car.another who tried to put diesel in a gasoline car, but the nozzle wouldn't go in. In a perfect world, no mistakes are made. I put the wrong blinker fluid in last fall, but luckily nobody saw it
