Default Subaru commercial at Audi dealership?

This caught my eye the other day on my bike ride. Can't quite come up with an explanation. The take was a customer looking at the blue model and being greeting by a saleslady. If it's a Subaru being purchased, why is it at an Audi dealership, surrounded by a sea of Audis? Note the blanked out logos on the grilles.

couldn't it be one of those cheesy commercials where they're saying what they have for sale (used)? Audi likely took it in trade when the owner wanted to ditch the AWD and get a FWD car.

Flukes and unusual things at dealerships occasionally happen. When I bought my Lexis IS300 in 2001, at a local Lexus shop, the Lexus salesman I dealt with was the son of a local Ford dealership owner (his dad owned a big Ford complex not far away, but with a different dealer-name). In the Lexus lot (not the Ford lot), at the time, was a very hard-to-get white 2-seat Thunderbird (mark-ups on those cars, when new, from huge demand and short supply, was as high as 20K). I asked the salesman if he was driving it (or if it was his car) because his dad got it for him. He said no, it was actually for sale. 38K list from the factory...they wanted 55K for it on a second price-sticker. That very day (and I was there to watch it), a woman came by, looked at it, fell in love, got out her checkbook, and (yes) wrote a check for 55K and took it home.

What can you say?

(that salesman, BTW, is now the owner of his dad's old Ford chain...he left Lexus)

Looks like they covered the Audi front grille emblems in black on the Audi cars in the background too.

They could just be touting their pre-owned inventory

I thought of the above, but the blanked out Audi logos throw off most theories of it being an Audi ad. Yet all cars parked behind the Subaru and camera are clearly Audis. Strange.

That kinda reminds me of this Kia dealership (formerly a Lexus dealership)

How it originally looked:

They have since taken it down, but it was there for a surprisingly long time.

That looks like copyright infringement.

Reminds me of when the 350Z came back. My Maxima was new, so I took it to the dealer for oil changes (I think this thinking is flawed, but I took it to the dealer until the powertrain warranty expired at 60k), man they cost from $14.95 to $19.95 back then at the dealer. A 60k major service was like $380 hahahaha

Anyway, I sat in a new 350Z in the showroom. Sales said how do you like it? I said I do, but I'm just fantasizing. He goes what do you have in for service, and for what?

"98 Maxima, oil change."

"You can take this home this afternoon, why do you want to drive home in your old car?"

And it was marked up like 2k over list, and had all that extra **** like pinstripe, wheel arch moldings, etc.....

Don't really want to know, but I'm not sure if you can get a M2 for list or what. When something is great, and the price is good, it's going to be demand > supply....
