1UZ-FE Non-VVT To VVT Swap
Hello Everyone! I'm new here to the clublexus forums so I apologize in advance if there is an existing thread about this topic.
So here's the deal there is a 1996 LS400 in my area for sale for $2000 But I read that the VVT version of the 1UZ-FE was bumped up to 290 Horses in the later model years, Unsure of what years those were? Anyways, I was just wondering if I could directly swap in a newer VVT 1UZ-FE without any major problems and with everything working like ECU's and that sort of thing. Thanks in advance for the help

Such a swap will cost you more than just buying a car with VVTi, and that is not even accounting for the time to do it.
