EDIT: Just checked the final MY2017 DOG, it is also 5 years.

I just saw on Motor Trend that Lexus is changing some names around again, as expected (and adding confusion...).

The IS200t and GS200t become the IS300 RWD and GS300 RWD.

The IS300 AWD and IS350 get the 2GR-FKS (I assume anyway, given the 5hp bump).

Ill update post one. I did hear '300' moniker returns. We kinda of knew it was coming before motortrend reported it. We know this since the 2018 NX is called the NX300 (formerly NX200t). I don't blame them, matches with everyone else: C300, 330i, GLC300 etc.

I keep hearing that the GS and GX are most likely going to be discontinued. Supposedly the next ES will fill the void left by the GS and a long wheelbase RX will replace the GX's spot in the lineup.

I hope these rumors aren't true. The GS is a great car and it's a good competitor to the 5 Series and E Class.
