Default Will wagons ever be cool again in america?

probably not. muricans don't give a crap about handling. They just want high center of gravity, some-terrain vehicles to drive on paved roads.
maybe it will take a transition period of slick looking sportback hatchbacks.
Maybe air suspension that can raise a wagon 6 inches ?

But, for consideration...

panamera sport turismo wagon

or volvo

I'd like to think if the CUV/SUV trend ever starts to cool and consumers start looking for alternatives that offer practicality, car-like ride and handling and look good in the process that wagons will sell better here in the U.S. Not holding my breath though.

I was gonna say with German cars they have a following...right down to Jettas....I once had a totally loaded 328 x drive wagon loaner, it was a '13. The sad part was a 46" tv couldn't even fit in it. So imho they're for looks and maybe a little more utility than a sedan...

I hope not, since I'm thinking about picking up an E63S wagon when it comes out here.

Wagons are very popular, especially in Germany - E-Class in Germany is about 50% wagons.

Well, there are at least two wagons that are VERY cool in America. These two sell like free beer at Happy Hour.

I'll give you the Outback MMarshall, but if you say Forester then you might as well include every CUV on the market.

subaru...

Do they really sell ?

cuz honestly they're pretty frumpy looking.
we have different tastes though.

I think a good reason wagons never sold well in america was that they were usually damn ugly like a hearse and didn't look cool enough.
People wanted space? wagons had that. But people skipped over them for Navigators and Exploders.

Hopefully these premium brands change that perception.
