What does that get you....it's not a true dual, or is there a pipe coming off of each turbo like the N54...

I have an F10 with Comp Package and I'm a little disappointed in this new one. It definitely doesn't look aggressive enough to me in the pics.

I have driven the M550i and while it is very fast in a straight line from a stop, it severely lacks torque on higher speed accelerations where my F10 launches like a rocket in those situations. The suspension on the M550 is also nothing close to as good as you get with a real M.

Can't wait to drive the new gen. Again, I wish it stood out more aesthetically, but they've done some cool stuff to this new one.

Local dealer called me today, they just got their first M5, and in my preferred color combo. They asked me if I’m interested so of course I said yes(my current lease is up in 6 months and for now my first choice would be M5). But I don’t know what to say when I see their estimate: 120k msrp + 25000 dealer markup, 5000 down, 36/10000 for $2724 a Mo! Omg, really??! Realllllyyyyyy!!!!!
I was willing to pay MSRP, but 25000 markup? And I don’t even know how they come up with so much for the payment, I can get a Bentayga for less than that! Sigh, going to Porsche dealer tomorrow and see what’s like for a 911...

Well, went to different dealer today, it was better but not what I would take: 3000down, 2284 Mo. Sigh bye bye Bmw, just came back from Porsche with 2018 C4S and 2018 Cayenne.

nothing surprising about that at all though, that's pretty much the premium they charge for being the first. that's why i never buy into it, i can care less if i am the first person to have a car especially when it is a lease. how much is the car again? 110k? probably another 6 months and it will come down to 1500 range.

what porsche you looking at? just regular 911?

115k only, I calculated 1688 with 60% residual and 0.00152MF. So I don’t know where all the extra markup came from.
on the side note, San Marino blue does look good in person, and the new exhaust is way better than current M! For a second I almost want to say hell with it and sign the paper lol

Your BMW dealer is out of their damn minds with that markup. The M cars already depreciate like a rock thrown off a cliff, once the calendar reads 2022 or so and the car goes off warranty, it will be worth about 1/3rd of its original MSRP.

I'd like to see somebody strap a new M5 to the dyno to see how much power its really making. 600hp in a 4300lb car, running a sub 3 second 0-60 and running a high ten second quarter mile, I think BMW is seriously under-rating this thing. A Dodge Challenger Demon runs similar times(maybe faster with the factory drag slicks, well prepped track and cool air) and that car is rated at 808hp and weighs 4200lbs.

Still I will give BMW some serious props, this thing is a land missile and completely redefines what fast is. I mean these are hypercar numbers in a big, heavy, spacious luxury car.

i bet the all wheel drive helps this thing achieve those times.

New M5 is probably making 600hp at the wheels.
I dont like the styling compared to F10. By next year prices will be better but right now there are many ppl waiting to get it especially with all the press it's getting for the crazy #s it put down.

I think it looks plain in pictures, but the car does look stunning in person, especially San Marino blue, not excessive at all. And interior is night and day better than F10.

It is definitely is part of the equation, but BMW is seriously under-rating this car. 10 second quarter mile times, trap speed of about 130mph, that is brute power, not just a crazy quick launch.

well you can always ask them to show you the math so you can laugh in their face about their mark up. you and i are both good in math, there is no way they can play numbers with us. my guess is they jacked up the money factor by considerable margin.

btw, if you think m cars depreciate fast, take a look at amg!
