LFA successor rendering

LFA successor rendering
The HP folks commissioned this sketch of an LFA successor. So while there's no hope it'll become a reality, I think it looks pretty cool. I just hope we see another application for the glorious V-10...

Nice job, it does seem pretty believable, if a bit conservative.
However, it has to have the trademark vents on the back. I saw a rendering of the LC F with those vents - looked pretty badass, and it explained why the taillights are shaped the way they are. In addition, I kinda doubt they'd name it "LFZ". They'd probably just call it an LFA again.

I don't know... I want to say they'd come up with something entirely new? Though still likely use the LF prefix. We're so far out that any V-10 they used would likely be completely redesigned, so it wouldn't even have the heart of the LFA... thought it would absolutely have to sound like a battalion of angels invading.

Then again, the successor may not even be another mid-engined, V10 car, could be something else altogether - front engined? Turbo V8/V6? We'll see.

That's true, the LF- prefix has been used for their sportier concept vehicles, like the LF-FC as well. So it may be an LF-something, just... I figured they'd want the name recognition from the LFA.

The LFA is Front-mid-engine, rear mid-transaxle, rear-wheel drive.

The Lexus LF line is a series of concept cars built by Lexus, not just for their sportier cars. LF means Lexus Future.

Seriously, that concept is whack. Looks worse than the original LFA. Toyota is never again going to build a car like the LFA. Maybe in 10 or 20 years they'll feel the need to build an exotic road legal car with mind numbing performance like the LFA, but it won't look like the LFA, and would most likely be a hybrid or electric vehicle of some sort.
