you often win the award for most negative posts. I expect actual buyers couldn't care less (and if they thought about, expect) that another model is under development.
about resale, irrelevant for most, who lease them.
it would not suck to drive the newly refreshed s class.
As somebody who just bought a truly lame duck LS460L a month before the new one came out I agree with you lol.

Its absolutely what I wanted, no issue at all. The point is just that not everybody cares about having the latest and greatest thing, so the idea that somebody wouldn’t buy a refreshed S Class because there are leaked pictures of the new S class that won’t come out for 3 years is silly.

Yes... would be very satisfied with any S-Class.

I agree. The leaked pictures of a new S-Class would have very little effect. Most people buy a car because A, they really really really need one or B, because they start kicking the tires and starting getting the idea of wanting something new. They see them on the road, view the marketing (very important), drive past dealers, and starting placing themselves into the broader construct of what a particular brand are car offers.

A flagship class Benz like the S often pilots tech that is well ahead of its time and that's what keeps a car like this current. All of this filters down to mainstream mass market vehicles at some point, but these are the ones that do it first.
Styling is always subjective as is often stated around here, but the Germans do have a knack for looks that age well. Motivated buyers are not going to get too worried about what current model of a flagship they're driving. It's going to have its status symbol and tech going for quite a while.

You have to wonder, could MB be thinking of an even bigger niche vehicle? The current Benz generation and the upcoming one are now on track. But what if Benz looks to outside influences and comes up with some other ideas.
Got a kick out of these ideas, concepts and imaginative styling by a California Art Center College of Design stylist named Scott Wu. The U class?
